Lori Nathanson, PhD, is a Principal Research Associate for Education Studies. She brings over 20 years of experience designing and conducting mixed-methods educational research with the goal of making research findings accessible and actionable for policymakers, educators, students, and their families. She provides training and technical assistance (TTA) for ED and directs evaluation work for state and local clients.
Nathanson offers expertise in emotional intelligence, trauma-informed practices, healing-centered approaches, and data equity tools for TTA projects, including Promise Neighborhoods TTA, the Student Engagement and Attendance Center, and the Equity Foundations Initiative. These evaluations of postsecondary programs are designed to support underserved groups such as students from families with low incomes, students in foster care, and unaccompanied students experiencing homelessness.
